Day 29 - Inspired by Supernatural

Almost done!!!! Day 29 is inspired by the Supernatural and while I thought Tribal day was my worst day... I'm thinking this was worse. I'm not sure if it was because monday was a typically bad day, I was frustrated with my painting skills or I just didnt like this day LOL.

I started out by searching for whats considered Supernatural beings because I had already seen a LOT of ghosts submitted and vampires so I wanted something different. My first find and what I really wanted to do, but lacked the skill to paint it, was The Green Man . Then I went on to try and paint werewolves, HAHAHAHA, I can totally picture what it should look like in my head it just doesn't come out that way on my nails lol. So I chose to do the little Green men..... Aliens.

Colors used are
  • Zoya Raven,
  • Essie Pretty Edgy,
  • Sinful Colors Neon Melon and
  • Sinful COlors Irish Green
I started with the Zoya, did the aliens with Essie and then mixed together the sinful colors to make it a brighter green.

Day 27 - Inspired by Art

Day 27 - Inspired by Art..... So I love art but I'm so not an aficionado on the subject. I love to paint ceramics, but that's as far as my skill level falls. My Aunt on the other hand is extremely talented she just doesn't see it!!!!

I love things are different, have color and speak to me. What those things are I couldn't tell you because my taste range goes from here to there and back again LOL. So today I decided I would google abstract art and found this picture in the second row of my search and I was done looking!!!!  I was in love with this piece called Rise of the Amaryllis by Olga Kaydanov :)

Colors used :
  • Essie Sand Tropez,
  • Sally Hansen Black Out,
  • Sally Hansen White On,
  • Sally Hansen Lickety-Split Lime, and
  •  Zoya Zuza!!!

Day 26 - Inspired by a Pattern

Day 26 - Inspired by a Pattern..... from the start my nephew Kacy, who loves to draw, has been begging (and asking is it that day yet) me to let him do something, and he said he wanted to do Camo so I told him he could do it on pattern day!!!

This is his take on winter (snow) camo as he called it :)

I think it turned out pretty cool :)

Colors used are

Day 25 - Inspired by Fashion

Day 25 (almost to the end) inspired by fashion. I'm going to apologize first for the lack of good pictures and the lack of content to this blog, I have had a few emotionally draining days and I just couldn't get myself to be ecstatic about what was going on, even thou the fashion day is one that I was looking forward to because I love fashion and I love my inspiration for this day.
So I attempted to do the scalloping in the dress but my nails are too short, so i did the fading of the colors and left it at that. I don't like how it turned out, but I wasn't in the mood to change them :(
Colors used are
My inspiration cam from this dress.

Day 24 - Inspired by a Book

Day 24 - Inspired by a book, I decided to go with Marked, to be different,  because my first and second choices of Twilight series or Hunger Game Series were already done more then once :)

I love the House of Night series <3 There are 10 Books I believe right now and a Fledgling Handbook 101. There are also 2 Novellas that go along with the series too. To check out the series and all that it entails check out the House of Night Series webpage

The black nails are supposed to look like the book cover with matte and then shiny symbols over it. So I painted my nails black, then layered the NYC Matte over it, then used the Black again with the stamps :) The other 2 nails are the blue markings they get and the red markings the others get :)

Colors used are :
  • Essie Mesmerize,
  • Loreal Lady Luck,
  • Sally Hansen Black Out,
  • Julep Alyson, and
  • NYC Matte Me Crazy top coat :)
